Tiles Sliding Down Wall

Large heavy wall tiles are a challenge to hang because the weight of tiles makes them prone to slip off the wall.

I m tiling right now. Wall and flooring indoor tiling how to keep wall tiles from sliding while they set hi all. How to prevent a shower rod from sliding on a tiled wall. I tried to thicken the mix but i don t think i should add much more to the mix.

I m using porcelan tile and flexbond. Should i start at the bottom and go up. A tension shower rod uses a spring to keep it from sliding down the tiled wall. Doing the backsplash in my mom s kitchen and we re stumped.

Is this not right. Drip a sponge into a bucket of clean water. I am mixing per the directions. I realize it s kind of a bandaid solution but with the tiles grinded down it should work out ok.

Then starting at the top of the wall drag the sponge all the way down the wall to clear off the dust. Wipe down the walls with a damp sponge to clear the drywall dust. I was starting from the top of the wall and working my way down. There s quite a large gap between the wall.

When you spend more time trying to hold up the shower. Gravity seems to be allowing the tile to sag and slide down the wall. In theory the easiest solution is to build from the bottom supporting the lowest tile course right on the floor and letting the upper courses rest on those.
